Meetup: Thursday 14th May 2015 – Robust, Practical A/B-testing and Schedule It
Testing, experimentation and discovery are all pillars of lean thinking when it comes to company building and product development. For May we have two amazing speakers that are certain to enhance your appreciation of these topics with an evening of learning as well as networking and catching up with friends. Ethar Alali has been around the lean / agile product development scene for a long time, while many of you will know Mark Ballance as a Lean Startup Yorkshire regular and a beacon of success with his business Schedule It.
Ethar Alali: Taming Uncertainty – Robust, Practical A/B-testing
It used to be that 90% of new businesses fail in their first 2 years. Lean Startup’s explosion on to the scene provide a step-change in mainstream entrepreneurship. However, for modern startups to avoid the same fate, A/B-tests need to yield credible results, especially in more uncertain environments.
How do you repeatedly design good, credible experiments to tame the unpredictable beast? This talk bridges theory with practise to provide you with useful tips, tools and techniques to take-away and apply to business, social media profiles or anything else you dare!
CxO of Axelisys, Consultant, Agile-EA and founder of several start-ups, Ethar Alali comes from a long, diverse systems engineering background. He has an obsession with applying mathematics, statistics, lean thinking and entrepreneurship to his work with companies of any size, shape and sector. Ethar established Axelisys in 2011 to help companies improve, adopting Lean Startup as his de fact way of working two years ago.
